Develops professional activities in support of schools, through research and training activities in the pedagogical, didactic and methodological aspects. Provides professional support to educational institutions through: Cooperation and active participation in the implementation of educational research programs, related to issues related to integration and inclusion, adult education, vocational education and training, prevention of school dropout, information and vocational guidance, etc. Building training processes for school personnel, in accordance with planned needs and training offers. Providing new models to improve the quality of school practices and developing support strategies in cooperation with other agencies. Promotes and favors the dissemination of evaluation and self-evaluation methodologies and practices, taking into account experiences developed in Kosovo and abroad. It trains the staff for scientific research work during their participation in research processes. In March 2007, the interviewing commission selected researchers according to the sectors and offices foreseen in the structure of the PIK, who from June 16-30, 2007 attended intensive courses foreseen in the project in scientific research methodologies led by experts from professional institutes in Milan. After all this journey of this project, on September 3, 2007, the Kosovo Pedagogical Institute began its work, which is a public scientific research institution that deals with research, training, evaluation and innovations in the field of education.
